Architect and interior designer Ngozi Brown’s expertise includes learning environment design and evidence-based design – she is EDAC-certified by the Center for Health Design. Brown is a Magna Cum Laude B.Arch. graduate of Tuskegee University. She is a 4.0 GPA M.Ed. graduate of Concordia University, Portland. Brown is a LEED® AP with a Neighborhood Development specialty. She’s a GBI-certified Guiding Principles Compliance Professional. Brown’s firm, NOB A+D, is a 2019 finalist for the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce’s Emerging Minority-Owned Business of the Year award and the Minority-Owned Business of the Year Award.

Brown served as Central Section Chair on the AIA Arkansas Board of Directors, working on the Women in Architecture and Diversity committees. She sat on the boards of both studioMAIN and the Architecture + Design Network. Appointed by Governor Asa Hutchinson as a Special Commissioner of the Capitol Zoning District Commission, Brown served as Chair. An advocate for the design profession, Brown has spoken to groups nationwide including US congressmen, the Little Rock Metro Rotary club, the Arkansas Women's Foundation’s Girls of Promise Conference, and the Central Arkansas Urban League Youth Program's STEAM Youth Day.

Brown, a docent for the Arkansas Arts Center, is continually deepening her understanding of, and appreciation for, the arts - a practice which informs and sharpens her design approach. She’s passionate about city planning, having participated on the mayor-appointed 30-Crossing Design Committee. On this committee, a team of designers and community stakeholders were asked to make recommendations for Arkansas' I-30 expansion project. Ngozi has worked with the nonprofit, studioMAIN, helping design a master plan for Jacksonville, Arkansas' "Main Street Mile," which the city leadership has used to recruit private development.

In June 2018, Arkansas Business Publishing Group inducted Brown into the 40 Under 40 2018 class. In September 2018, Brown was inducted into Building Design + Construction Magazine's national 40 Under 40 class. Most recently, Brown was honored as a 2019 National ASID Ones to Watch Scholar.
